Hi folks,
You may have seen that Mint (by Intuit - yes, these are the same people that own TurboTax) has closed up shop, so you can no longer use it to track your net worth.
For those of you unfamiliar with Mint, I included a screenshot below (not mine - just a random one off google images) to show you what this looks like.

You may be looking for free alternatives to Mint, and Empower (also known as Personal Capital) is one good alternative that is speedy and doesn't crash as often as Mint did in the past. Sample screenshot is included below (again, from google images).

However, there is one downside to Empower. They have financial advisors, and they WILL call you. I already get enough calls from telemarketers, so I found this to be rather unwelcome.
However, even though Intuit has closed down Mint, they have already added the net worth feature to CreditKarma (which they also own - yes, it's also free). And you don't have to re-link all of your accounts. It's been a seamless migration, for the most part.

To be honest, I have both Empower (Personal Capital) and CreditKarma. If Empower calls me one more time, I'm probably going to uninstall it and just use CreditKarma. Also FaceID doesn't play nice with Empower, so it takes me about 5 seconds to login with a password manager.
With CreditKarma, I just have to look at my phone, and it logs in about a second. Call me spoiled, but FaceID is awfully convenient.
Apps that don't use FaceID makes kittens, such as those depicted in this post, cry. App developers, let's not make kittens sad, yes?
See y'all on the next one!
Best, Mandeep
